cassedy lynn cohen was born october 18th 1988 to marsha and dean cohen, a couple so awkwardly fit together that almost everyone pegged them to be the couple that didn't make it. it came as a shock to most when the two tied the knot, even more so a shocker that not too long after marrying marsha became pregnant with the cohen family's first child, jem. a little less than a year later, with people still doubting them, marsha gave birth to cassedy.

for the first few years of cassedy's life the cohen family resided in san clemente, california. when cassedy was five years old marsha and dean divorced, filing irreconcilable differences. the split wasn't messy, everything was divided between the two and that was that. following a job opportunity, dean moved to longport, new jersey with cassedy, leaving marsha behind. at first cassedy didn't understand, she couldn't fathom why her happy family was now divided and she was leaving mommy behind so of course being a child she put up a fight, but once she was settled into longport, those tantrums faded away.

for the rest of the years following cassedy divided her time between california and new jersey. holidays were split between her parents and summers were alternated between the two families. as she got older this became a little more difficult to handle, but that was just natural as she started growing up. school, work, dating, everything became an obstacle in the way - not to mention the fact that her mother remarried and became incredibly involved with her new family. granted she still would go out to visit her mother and her stepfather, the visits became shorter up until it was time for cassedy to attend college.

somewhere around cassedy's junior year of high school her father, who up until that point had focused merely on raising cassedy & jem as well as his job, began dating again. a string of failed relationships led up to one of the most stable ones he'd had since marsha. after a year of being together, they took their relationship one step further and moved in together. in the process, cassedy gained a make-shift step-brother, borman. at first things were awkward...cassedy hadn't seen her father romantically involved with someone and be so happy since, well, her mother. but because of that cassedy walked into it with an open mind - not like she really had a choice. it didn't take long for nicky and cassedy to warm up to one another, and cassedy wouldn't have had it any other way - she went out of her way to not only make him comfortable, but everybody else as well.

for the most part cassedy has always been a really bubbly, really outgoing girl. she's always gone out of her way to do things for other people, she loves nothing more than putting a smile on other peoples faces. though at times she can be excessively loud and can come off as pretty intimidating, she always means well. there isn't a mean bone in her body - she's proud of the fact that she's never betrayed or hurt anyone purposely. she'd rather cause herself pain at the expense of someone else's happiness. people have called her fake because of this, but she swears up and down it's not an act, it really is just how she is.

when it came time for cassedy to go to college she once again made a trip back to california, only this time instead of merely visiting, she stayed. she went into berkeley college with an undecided major, then after freshman year switched to criminal justice. as much as she liked the school, the setting, her classes, and being in california again, she longed to be back in longport. so after the completion of her sophomore year, cassedy withdrew from berkeley and transferred to atlantic cape community college. granted she's only been back for a few months, she feels more at home here than she did in california. she'll continue to take trips out to to see her mother, time permitting, but longport will always be her home.

- education wise cassedy has always been a very smart girl, she just has problems applying herself. she's book smart, but not exceptionally street smart and on occasion she has the ability to make herself look very ditzy, for lack of a better word.
- "step-sister" to borman, though technically not really. when cassedy was in high school her father began dating nicky's father and after a year of being together, the two families moved into one place.
- cassedy moved back to california after graduating high school to attend berkeley college, but after 2 years of being there she missed longport too much to stay away and she transferred to somewhere closer to home.
- currently cassedy is living with her father, but because she's such an independent person she hates it. she's got plans to move out soon, whether it be alone or with a friend, she doesn't care. but it will happen soon.
- absolutely cannot stand blood, she faints at the sight of it. once she found that out, her dreams of being a doctor kind of vanished..she'd never be able to hack it.
- she's a really laid back, chill kind of person. she loves to joke around and have a good time, and she'll do whatever it takes to put a smile on somebody's face. she can be rather loud, but she's not an attention whore by any means - though some people like to think she is.
- purple is her favorite color and once she gets enough money, she's determined to have her car painted purple. her obsession is a little childish, but that's just who she is.
- cliche as it may be horror movies are her favorite genre, she loves the thrill of them and she doesn't really get TOO scared by them, only certain movies. she just likes all the gore.
